Getting started
Keep your watch.
Get another perspective.
You don’t need to change how you record a run. Bring your history to RunFit and start exploring it.
Connect with Strava.
Open RunFit and connect from the Data page. Approve access on Strava to import your last 24 months of running history.
Summaries arrive first, so you can see your history taking shape. Recent runs receive detailed analysis next, with older ones filling in afterward. History processing pauses when needed and resumes across sessions.
New and updated runs can sync while you’re using RunFit. You can also use Sync now on the Data page.
RunFit is independent of Strava. You control access from RunFit or from your Strava app settings.
Import from your device.
Use Import run history on the Data page. Supported files include FIT, TCX, GPX, CSV, Excel (.xlsx), and Strava export ZIP files.
A file’s contents determine the insights available. A GPS route without heart rate does not provide the same evidence as a recorded heart-rate workout.
Your files are processed on your device. Non-running activities in a Strava archive are skipped.
A run without a file still belongs here.
Use Add run on the Data page, or the quick-add option on the dashboard when Strava isn’t connected. Enter an average heart rate and any two of distance, duration and pace. RunFit works out the third.
You can edit a manual run later. Detailed workout structure requires detailed recorded data; a manual summary won’t invent it.
What helps the most?
- Pace and heart rate: together, they show the effort behind your performance.
- Accurate heart-rate settings: set resting and maximum HR in Settings.
- Recent longer runs: useful evidence for how well your pace holds.
- Consistent recording: comparisons are easier to interpret when your data is reliable.
Garmin and other watches can provide suitable recordings. Compatibility depends on the exported data, rather than the watch’s own fitness score.
Your device holds your history.
RunFit keeps runs, settings and analysis in the browser you use. Another device has its own history; connecting Strava there starts its own sync.
Export a RunFit backup from the Data page to keep a copy or restore it elsewhere. Requesting persistent storage can help protect against automatic browser cleanup, but clearing site data still removes it.
Disconnecting Strava lets you keep a local copy or remove Strava activities from RunFit. Neither choice deletes activities on Strava.
