RunFit

Changelog

Version 2.0.43

Released

  • Sync private Strava runs. New connections request access to activities set to Only You. Existing users can disconnect while retaining their local runs, then reconnect and approve private-activity access. Changing a run's privacy no longer removes its saved copy or analysis.

Version 2.0.40

Released

  • Date ranges that stay current. Saved chart presets such as Last 30 days now follow today's date when you return. Custom date ranges stay as chosen.
  • Catch up after time away. RunFit checks recent Strava summaries for missed runs when you return, while keeping interrupted imports resumable.
  • Reliable local startup. Your saved dashboard and controls remain available while RunFit checks the server connection.

Version 2

Released

  • An invitation to v2. A popup in v1 introduces the new version while letting you stay on v1. Following its link opens a v2 welcome popup with a link to this changelog.
  • More reliable Strava sync. Runs made accessible by changes to their visibility or activity type now import automatically. Delayed sync no longer restores deleted older history. Strava detail updates and retries stay within the 24-month sync window, while previously saved runs remain available.
  • Delete local data while offline. Local data deletion now works even when Strava is unreachable. RunFit shows any pending disconnection and retries when you return online.
  • Clearer Strava disconnection. Disconnecting immediately clears RunFit’s server connection data and ends sync across your RunFit devices. You can still choose whether to keep this device’s local Strava runs; other devices keep their local copies.
  • Smoother archive imports. Large Strava exports use less memory and keep the app more responsive while importing, with safeguards for oversized compressed contents.
  • Performance improvements. Faster startup and smoother chart changes with larger run histories. Smaller support and install images wait until the dashboard appears before downloading, and a lighter browser-tab icon reduces downloads. Images keep their space while loading.
  • Version history. The version number in the app footer now opens this changelog.
  • More reliable app updates. Fixed pages showing an older version after refreshing, and improved offline loading when an update becomes available.
  • Easier chart exploration. Tap a run or goal marker for details. Goal markers use gold diamonds so they are easier to distinguish from runs.
  • Clearer goal comparisons. Compare current and target pace, finish time and effort together. Fixed incorrect finish times in current-pace estimates.
  • Better mobile controls. Compact support and installation sections fit small screens. Fixed the chart-filter close button becoming unreachable when the browser's address bar is visible.
  • Install and support options. Add RunFit to your home screen from the install section, or support the project through Ko-fi. Dismissing installation or clicking support hides that request for 30 days. Fixed the install request appearing when RunFit is already open as an installed app.
  • Consistent heart-rate setup. Heart-rate values chosen during initial setup now apply to your full run history.
  • Clearer privacy information. The privacy policy explains anonymous usage counts, connection cleanup after extended inactivity, support correspondence and the information passed through from Strava. Runs, scores and athlete identifiers remain separate from usage counts.
  • Redesigned navigation. Dedicated Dashboard, Goal, Settings and Data pages, with a compact latest-run summary and expandable workout details.
  • Fitness and Durability views. Follow fitness over time and explore how your pace holds as runs get longer. Clearer legends, age shading and smaller mobile markers make busy charts easier to read.
  • More useful run details. See whole-run and interval measurements separately, explore pace and heart rate through a workout, and view recent mileage context for long runs.
  • Flexible chart filters. Filter by date, run type, easy or long tags, and morning, afternoon or evening. Compare with the previous period. Charts start with a year of history and remember your filter choices.
  • Guided setup. Set your heart-rate values and race goal before adding runs. You can skip steps and return to them later.
  • Live race-goal estimates. Goals save as you type and show estimated pace, time, effort and the fitness needed for your target, with markers on the charts.
  • More control over heart-rate settings. Set maximum and resting heart rate, choose how easy runs are classified, and date changes to your settings. Warnings highlight runs above your configured maximum and can be dismissed.
  • Steadier mobile editing. Fixed typing being interrupted by background updates or the on-screen keyboard, and goal results update while you keep editing.
  • Automatic, resumable Strava sync. Recent runs appear first, with early estimates while detailed analysis fills in. Import up to 24 months of Strava history and resume processing across sessions.
  • More ways to add runs. Enter a run manually, including its start time, or import FIT, TCX, GPX, CSV, Excel and supported compressed files or Strava archives. Non-running activities are skipped and duplicates are checked.
  • Corrections that stick. Adjust run tags and workout intervals, exclude runs from analysis, or delete a local run with confirmation. Your corrections are preserved as history updates. Fixed trends failing to reflect deleted runs.
  • Local backups and storage choices. Export and restore RunFit backups, request protection from automatic browser cleanup, or delete older history. Disconnecting Strava lets you keep or remove its local runs. Importing and exporting large histories is more reliable.
  • Keep supported v1 preferences. Your heart-rate settings, units and race goal can carry into a fresh v2 setup. Run history remains separate.
  • More help when you need it. New guides explain fitness, durability, importing runs and connecting Strava, alongside clearer privacy information and support pages.
